Accommodations

The conference has a block of rooms reserved at the Hotel Zeppelin, a newly-renovated, rock-themed boutique hotel in the heart of San Francisco, half a mile walking distance from the conference sites.

The conference room rate is $249/night plus tax. One queen/king bed and two double bed* options are available, for the nights of July 26th – July 30th. This rate is available until July 5th, and is subject to availability – guests are encouraged to book as soon as possible to secure this rate.

A credit card number is required to secure your reservation. Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to arrival to avoid a cancellation fee.

Transportation

San Francisco is served by San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and Oakland International Airport (OAK). All conference sites are easily accessible via public transit, shuttle, and taxi services from both airports. See the SFO and OAK Ground Transportation Guides for more information.

Conference sites are easily accessible via public transit from anywhere in the Bay Area, and all buildings are within walking distance. Northwestern University – San Francisco and the California Historical Society are located just off the Montgomery Street BART & MUNI Station. The Hotel Zeppelin is approximately half a mile walk from the Powell Street BART & MUNI Station and from both the California Historical Society and Northwestern University – San Francisco.

As parking in downtown San Francisco is limited and expensive, use of a car is not recommended. For those who do choose to drive, valet parking is available at the Hotel Zeppelin for $62/day, or there are several public and private parking garages nearby. Options close to each venue include:
