Host Organization applications due to NUPIP@northwestern.edu

February 4, 2011
Host organizations are informed of matches and mailed application materials, interviews scheduled

Candidates interested in satellite cities (SF, DC, NY) are referred to matched organizations for phone interviews

Friday, February 25, 2011 or before
Matched candidates complete interviews with host organizations

Friday March 4th, 2011 or before
Host organizations extend offers to their top candidate

Friday, March 18th, 2011 or before
Candidates notify NUPIP and host organizations of placement decision

Friday, March 18—Early April, 2011
Second round of matches

April 1, 2011
Placed fellows return Letter of Agreement signed by fellow and supervisor

Early May, 2011
Host organizations and Fellows (incoming and outgoing) attend Spring Reception

Between June and September 2011
Fellows begin work at placement. Start-dates and other timing particulars should be arranged between the organization and fellow.

Fellow candidates submit an application including essays, resume, transcript, and two letters of recommendation to NUPIP by early January, 2011. After the written applications have been screened by NUPIP, on-campus interviews are conducted. NUPIP then refers one or more candidates to each potential host organization for consideration by early February 2011. Each host organization then reviews the applications and conducts an interview, in person or over the phone. Placements should be finalized by April 1, 2011. Fellows are prepared to begin their one-year commitment between June and September. Start-dates and other timing particulars should be arranged between the organization and fellow.
