Hear directly from participants about the Engage Chicago experience.

Engage Chicago is based in downtown Chicago, at the University of Illinois Chicago campus. While EC is a Northwestern University program, this off-site location adjacent to Chicago’s Loop allows students easy access to educational and recreational opportunities throughout the city. Internship placements and field experiences take students to vibrant ethnic neighborhoods like Greektown, Chinatown, and Pilsen. On evenings and weekends, participants have the opportunity to visit the city’s famous historical and cultural sites, as well as tourist attractions like Navy Pier, Millennium Park, and the Magnificent Mile. Living downtown provides students with an unparalleled opportunity to experience all that this incredible city has to offer.
